These month of the year labels are made with visual learners in mind. Research indicates that words embedded in related images helps the brain absorb new vocabulary.
These labels are made in three sizes and also included arrows that you can clip to the display. Please download the preview to see two ways I've made this display: one in a wreath form and one in an interactive drop-down display. You could also just display it on posterboard. Adding velcro to the back is great for students to access their month words in a writing center.
Here are some ideas on how to use our Months of the Year
-Calendar/morning meeting area
-Centers for sorting months in order
-Organize your bins and monthly materials
We included THREE sizes in this pack, because we know that your needs vary! In some of my classrooms, I had endless bulletin boards, and in others I had to use windows!
Here's what is included with this pack
1.) LARGE labels. (4 month images per paper)
2.) MEDIUM label: (6 months images per paper)
3.) SMALL labels: (All 12 months on one page)
4.) Month of the Year label (in all three sizes)
5.) Arrows for all sizes with "Last month was", "This month is", and "Next month will be" labels
Simply print on card stock, display, add velcro to make the display interactive, and voila!
