I love this lesson! It is a great hands on activity that allows students to examine the text to determine mood.
1) Pass out photo copied pages of a novel or other sources.
2) Students read the passage and write the mood at the top of the page.
3) Student box the words that support the identified mood.
4) Students draw a symbol or picture that is representative of that mood. The entire page is colored save for the boxed words.
