Here is a hands-on, creative way for students to practice determining the MOOD of a text. This craftivity is a perfect follow up activity to your lesson on finding the Mood in Literature! It can be used as a center, intervention, small group instruction, or whole class! Since all of the directions are given, it also is perfect for substitutes!
Student will love the idea of "Painting by Mood!" They will read 7 short passage, determine the mood using textual evidence, find the mood on the color palette, and color the corresponding number on the OWL PICASSO. Teachers will know it's correct if the owl is colored the correct pattern.
Teachers are given THREE CHOICES for completing this Craftivity.
Students can glue their project on a piece of construction paper for a display. This is a perfect way for students to apply their knowledge of Finding the Mood. Extension activity is also INCLUDED for your higher students!
