GRAPES is an acronym used to remember proven self-care strategies that manage depression, anxiety, and stress. Getting in the habit of daily practicing GRAPES will have a direct influence on improving negative moods. I have used this intervention for rapport and assessment purposes, education, and treatment planning.

G = Gratitude

R = Relaxation

A = Affirmation

P = Pleasure

E = Exercise

S = Social Support

Product includes worksheets to help identify and practice the GRAPES self-care strategies. Reuse the worksheets daily for gaining mastery over stress and mood regulation.

Additional handouts include a detail of the GRAPES acronym, therapeutic relaxation strategies, and gratitude & affirmation examples. Use the handouts as a reference for the worksheets or practice. The handouts may also be used as posters for your office space.
