Using a mood meter based on the zones of regulation can change your class for the better in a major way. Sometimes, students just need a way to explain how they are feeling. Zones of regulation provide 4 different colored "zones" for students' emotions to be in - red, yellow, blue, and green.
This product includes visuals that you can print for students or for your classroom to help students connect their behavior with a zone.
It includes 6 different resources - 3 mood meters with visuals (emojis, traffic signs, and Inside Out characters), 1 mood meter with feeling words, 1 page of mini mood meters for student use, and a page with emojis to help students describe their feelings.
I have these posted around my class (especially at my cool down station). Additionally, I let students pick which one they wanted to keep in their binder.
I also printed the mini mood meters and have students keep them on a binder ring with other anchor charts / emotional regulation tools in class.
