Looking for a way to have students analyze the mood and tone of a reading passage or poem? This is the assignment for you.
Either choose poems or reading passages for your students, or have them choose their own.
In groups, they must read and discuss the poem or passage. They must also decide what the poem is about and identify the speaker’s tone and mood of the reader. Lastly, they must use evidence from the text to support their thoughts.
Their presentation will be presented to the class.
In groups of 2 or 3, students will create a Google Slides presentation with the following information:
A copy of the poem, including its title and author + image
A description that explains what the poem is about + image
