Moon Crater Investigation:
Students will get excited learning about the surface of the moon with this hands on lab! Students will measure the depth of craters created in flour from a ping pong ball and golf ball dropped at three different heights.
This investigation follows the scientific method.
This can easily be adapted for older students by asking them to calculate the Velocity and Kinetic Energy.
These two half sheet will fit perfectly in an Interactive Notebook.
A great companion to this item is my Moon Facts Powerpoint.
