This is a four week editable Moon Journal that correlates with the fifth grade Indiana Science Standard 5.2.4 which states: Use a calendar to record observations of the shape of the moon and the rising and setting times over the course of a month. Based on the observations, describe patterns in the moon cycle.
In their Moon Journal, students will need to observe the moon each night, record the time of their observation, and draw the shape of the moon. Obviously, there will be nights where it is too cloudy to see the moon, so I ask that students draw clouds to represent this. However, they should make a good attempt each night to see it.
