If you teach moon phases, you will find these self-checking clip cards to be the perfect addition to your unit! Perfect for science centers, morning work, assessment, and partner practice, Moon Phases Clip Cards are easy to prep and fun to use. They are designed to be ink friendly and do not use color ink - they look great printed on colored paper!
New to clip cards? After you print the cards, you mark an x on the back of the card behind the correct answer (no worries - an answer key is included to help you with this step!). Students then use a clothespin (or paper clip) to mark the answer. When they flip the card over, the mark you made should be right over the clothespin. If it isn't, they instantly know they were incorrect.
In this packet, you will receive:
✔3 pages of detailed information on setting up and using clip cards

Because there are many different types of cards to practice the skill of identifying moon phases, this product works really well in inclusive classrooms! The before and after phase cards are also great for challenges. You can decide whether or not to allow your students (or some of them) to use the labeled reference sheet. I like to use the reference sheet the first few times we use the cards, and then reduce its use as students strengthen their identification skills.
Please note, you will need to provide students with clothespins (my students like the little colored ones, but any will work) or paperclips.
