Two activities are included. Each one addresses a question students often have about the moon.
* QUESTION #1: How much does the moon’s appearance change in one day’s time?
* QUESTION #2: How much time passes between one NEW (or FULL) moon & the next NEW (or FULL) moon, and are the INTERVALS between these moon phases always the same?
* QUESTION #3 Is the accepted value (29.5 days) for a synodic month (full moon to full moon) accurate ?
These two student activities help answer these questions by review and analysis of actual DATA.
