A hit in my 5th grade classroom, that really helped students "get" the idea of our view of the moon changes as it revolves around the Earth, while the Earth is rotating. Students use the items to construct a diagram of how moon phases look as viewed from Earth. By rotating the Earth and looking at the moon above the person, students grasp the ideas of waxing and waning, and moon revolution time. Texas TEKS 4.8C (Supporting). Suitable for 4th - 8th grades.
