The idea for this game came from Teaching Student-Centered Mathematics Grades K-3 by John A. Van de Walle and LouAnn H. Lovin.
There are 3 different sets of game cards. There are dot cards, number cards, and objects cards. The word cards go with each set. Each set allows students to work with numbers 4-12.
Each student lays out the word cards. They should be SAME, MORE, then LESS. The SAME card has a star on it to indicate that is the card students put their number, dot, or objects card above.
Students use counters to show the same number, more than that number, and less than that number.
