Teaching a measurement unit is hands-on, fun and real life. But, when you need to assess the students on accuracy, it is difficult to find objects that measure exactly to the whole inch and centimeter. Here are four ways to check your students' understanding of measuring length to the nearest inch and centimeter.

Page 2: Students measure the height of superheroes in inches.
Page 3: Students measure the height of cowboys and cowgirls in centimeters.
Page 4: Students use both sides of the ruler and measure using inches and centimeters.
Page 5: Students compare measurements (inches and feet). They arrange the measurements in order from shortest to longest.
