"More Than Anything Else" shares the story of Booker T Washington's dream of reading. The activity encourages students to analyze the text and determine purposes for the author's use of words. There are five reading centers focusing on inference/evidence, figurative language, conclusions, character traits, and inferring cause/effects. Students will create fill in blank charts for their classmates to discuss, analyze, and answer. The lesson engages students through discussion and analyzation of the text.
