As soon as the technology to make images move became available artists have used it to expand visual language. In this project students study some history of how artists have experimented with film and video then try their hand at using video to make art and not a film.
For the advanced art student, these projects offer a focused exploration of important media and ideas in an artist's toolbox. The projects provide both Studio and Sketchbook/Process Journal components and are designed to allow students to build skills and explore ideas. These projects are suitable for any advanced class, including the IB DP Visual Arts course.
It is also highly recommended that students are familiar with the strategies for analyzing and writing about art that are put forth in the mini-lesson Discovering More About Art
which can be downloaded for free from the Thinking
Like An Artist TpT
