Product Description

Teach your class how to read, interpret, and compose persuasive text using this engaging fact and opinion based product. Students will read two different letters written to the school board asking for them to change the amount of time spent in school. The letters reference schools in other countries that are currently performing higher than American students in math and reading. Students must read the text thoroughly, then answer extended response and multiple choice questions that require using text based evidence to support their answer. Students then will write about their own opinion on what should be done in their school using evidence from the passages.

These passages will to lead to spirited debate and discussion in the classroom.
