Irregular Plurals: Make learning irregular plurals an active and fun experience. Children enjoy books that they can interact with. While the book is being read, students place a single pictured item under a door. On the next page the irregular plural form is required to complete a rhyme. When they open the 2nd door the irregular plural answer will be found. The book reviews 10 irregular plural forms. If this seems too long, you can print it in two editions using ½ of the plurals but still keeping the beginning and ending of the story for each volume. The task cards are included and do not need to be purchase separately.
You will need the following materials to construct the book. Cardstock for printing the pages (27 sheets), gluestick, or white glue, exacto knife, and clear binding tape to finish off the spine. I used packing tape. You may also want to use velcro dots to attach the pictures to the pages for selection.
The pages are printed in landscape mode, on cardstock, 8 ½ in by 11 inch. I used the image or photo setting so that the clipart was the best quality. The item cards can be laminated and cut apart. Except for the cover page, each page will have two pages printed side by side.
