This packet includes 1 job chart, an editable label page, 8 different job display/description cards, 4 differentiated cards, and instructions for preparation and use. The job chart is letter size but can be printed to A3 if space isn’t an issue. Establishing morning calendar routines is a back to school basic. The child friendly cards with easy to remember instructions are sure to get everyone on track. I usually begin with two jobs – line leader and lucky last. Once the routine is established new jobs are added. At the beginning of the year children will have the same job each day for one week. Once I have gone through the class list alphabetically we change the job chart daily. Eventually they take over the responsibility entirely and I can meet with individual students for assessment or reading tasks.
Children will practice the skill of counting, answer and tally survey responses, estimate a group of objects, and graph weather results. Follows many Everyday Math routines and aligns with the following common core state standards; K.CC.A.1&3, K.CC.B.4a,b,&c.
Thank you for purchasing this product. I hope it brings structure and routine to your mornings.
