Product Description
This resource contains a year's worth of questions or discussion items of the day. Each slide contains a simple question of discussion item that I include in my Morning Meeting each day, in my class for students with Autism. Items are as follows:

Moody Monday - Every Monday contains the same question, How do you feel today? This gives a great opportunity for you to work with students on different emotions/feelings.

Tell Me Tuesday - These questions change every Tuesday, where you ask the students to tell you something about themselves or something they like, such as: Tell me your favorite book.

What... Wednesday - These questions also change weekly. Students will work on answering the wh question "what," such as: What do you like to do in P.E.?

Tasty Thursday - These questions change weekly and all deal with taste. A sample item would be: What is your favorite fast food restaurant.

Friendly Friday - Every Friday is the same: Be a good friend. Give someone a compliment. Students practice giving and receiving compliments. This is great for their self-esteem and is a great opportunity to work on social skills and communicating with peers.

This resource has been a great addition to my high school classroom. My students and paraprofessionals look forward to the question of the day every morning. It has been exciting to see my students open up and begin communicating with longer utterances and/or using their AAC devices. There are many ways you can incorporate these discussions/questions of the day into your daily routine.
