    THEME-BASED MORNING MEETINGS: Provide your students with morning meeting activities focused on common themes in literature to encourage social and emotional growth, character education, and community building at its best. 17 themes include: belonging, kindness, compassion, conflict, perseverance (Set 1), happiness, integrity, compromise, achievement (goal setting), and individualism (Set 2), intrinsic motivation, courage, responsibility, managing emotions, and friendship (Set 3), growth mindset, and gratitude.

    The following theme sets NOW INCLUDE GOOGLE SLIDES for the teacher, student notebooks, and editable lesson plans--all compatible with Google Classroom!

    Set 1: Belonging, Kindness, Compassion, Perseverance, Conflict

    Set 2: Integrity, Happiness

    Set 3: Courage, Friendship, Managing Emotions

    Theme Sets 2 and 3 will all include Google Slides by the end of June 2021. (I am working through the theme sets and editable lesson plans one at a time and appreciate your patience!)

    Engage your students with activities like read alouds, whole group discussions, videos and song lyrics, quote analysis, self-assessment, personal reflection, and other extension activities to strengthen your classroom community.

    With theme-based morning meeting lessons, you are able to incorporate personal development and classroom community building while targeting common themes in literature and your grade level's ELA standards. My students develop a strong understanding of theme because of our morning meeting lessons!
