# Morning Work - Math & Literacy {Morning Brain Train 5th Month in Kindergarten}

Product Description
This file is a 24 page review of key learning areas (AU) and common core standards (US) for the fifth month in Kindergarten. I designed it with one page of literacy and 1 page of math everyday. This is especially beneficial for ESL / ELL students as it maximizes their exposure and practice in the concepts learnt daily. It'll begin with easy work and slowly increase in difficulty as the student progresses.

*Note: The page numbers continue from the file Brain Train - 4th month in Kindergarten, although that doesn't interfere with the content / or use of the file. This may be purchased separately. :)

***Note: each month is designed to expand on the knowledge and practice gained in the previous knowledge, all the letters of the alphabet and numbers 1-10 are practiced throughout Morning Brain Train 1-3 then they rotate and the activities vary.***

Here's what's included in the fifth month:

Literacy:
Beginning Letter identification.
Beginning phonics.
Sight word identification.
Vocabulary: word / picture recognition.
Letter uppercase and lowercase identification.

Math:
Counting & Cardinality (counting to 20).
Write numbers 0-10 (0-20).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities.
Count to answer “how many?” (objects 0-12) .
Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than or less than the number of objects in another group. (0-20)
Add to 10/20 by counting objects.

Literacy Activities include:
Uppercase / lowercase Letter tracing and recognition.
Write the sight words in boxes.
Color the picture that begins with the corresponding letter.
Write the missing letter.
Tracing words and letters.
Tracing the sentences with the days of the week.
Hunt the corresponding lowercase letters.
Color the sight words.

Math Activities include:
Word numbers and digits tracing and rewriting. (10-16)
Count objects in addition equations and record the number (10/15).
Count objects and record the number digits or word numbers. (10-15)
Colour the groups with more objects (0-20).
Answer to “how many” objects, count and record the number.
Draw counters to match the number. (0-20)
