Product Description

I use these vocabulary slides to introduce vocabulary terms. Included are the words, word types (noun, verb, adjective, etc.), definitions, and some pictures on each slide that help students to comprehend the words by providing examples, context, or extra explanation.

I generally begin my freshman year with The Most Dangerous Game, and the kids copy these vocab terms on probably the second day of school. Since it's also largely being used as a refresher, the vocabulary terms I give for this story are all literary elements (foreshadowing, inference, point-of-view, protagonist, antagonist, etc.) None of the words are actual words from the story since students read it from their textbooks which contained foot-noted definitions for challenging words.
