There are six activities for each rhyme:
Section 1: Let's Chant and Sing! (full-color posters included)
Section 2: Fun With Words! (sentence strips and three high-interest activities included)
Section 3: Act It Out!
Everyone is sure to want a turn to help perform the rhymes--many times!
Section 4: Hot Seat!
It's time to meet and interview the characters on the Hot Seat, while building skill in asking and answering questions.
Section 5: Time to Write!
It's easy to write a new version of the rhymes using the templates and scaffolds in this section!
Section 6: Let's Celebrate!
Wrap up the unit with one or more culminating activities from this section: Make a Mother Goose Rhyme book, play Mime-a-Rhyme or Tea Party, or stage Mother Goose Rhyme Theatre as a grand finale!
This unit includes teaching suggestions, printable posters, sentence strips, character cards, writing templates, and bookmaking materials for all five rhymes!
