Products in this Bundle (3)
1 - Lesson about missionary, Amy Carmichael
2 - Mother's Day Acrostic Poem
3 - Mother's Day Card
Students will enjoy learning about Amy Carmichael, a unique Christian missionary who was called "Amma" (or mother) by the people she served in India. She never had her own children but served as a mother to many orphans in India. She rescued them from lives of abuse and taught them about Jesus. This lesson includes a PowerPoint lesson, a one page bio, pictures of Amy Carmichael, and a question and answer sheet.
Kids create a fun acrostic poem about their mothers. For example:
What does mother mean to you?
M - Marvelous hugger
O - Outstanding cook
T - Terrific storyteller
H - Helpful in every way
E - Excellent game player
R - Reads to me every night
Kids draw a picture of themselves with their mom and then cut it out like a puzzle. They put the pieces into an envelope that says "I love you to pieces. Happy Mother's Day." The puzzle includes a cross and the verse:
Her children arise and call her blessed. Proverbs 31:28
This Mother's Day Bundle is great for Sunday schools and Christian elementary schools. Learn about Amy Carmichael, and then, create a fun Mother's Day Acrostic Poem or create a fun puzzle card to give to moms as a gift. (The card also includes options for an aunt or a grandma.)
Happy Mother's Day!
