1. Messages to My Mom: A Keepsake Mother's Day Booklet
I think the most treasured surprises are those that are homemade. The special gifts are those that speak from the heart. This keepsake Mother’s Day booklet is the perfect gift to do just that!
The pages are designed so that students can make the booklet for their mothers or other treasured loved ones such as grandmothers, aunts, godmothers, etc. Each page features a sentence starter and space for the student to share a special message with the recipient. Pages with and without lines are included for your convenience. Each page is also in black and white so that students may color the decorations as they choose.
Two different versions of a cover are included as well as an introductory letter. There is a coupon page to include in the back (in both black/white and color). Students can fill in the coupon rewards as they choose (taking out the garbage, helping with the dishes, a hug, etc.)
I hope your students (and their loved ones) will enjoy this Mother’s Day keepsake!
2. Website Sleuths: Mother's Day
I hope your students will enjoy learning about Mother's Day with this ready to use "web search" resource!
After your students have completed the web search (featuring ten questions), they could then complete the graphic organizer to show facts they have learned in a decorative way. Two different organizers are provided (a girl version and a boy version).
On the organizer, students could:
a. record facts they learned in their web search
b. record facts NOT on the question sheet (other facts)
c. record facts they found most interesting
d. record facts from a different website provided by you
The graphic organizers can be colored and make a great bulletin board display when done!
Please view the thumbnails to see how the web questions and graphic organizers are arranged. Answer keys are also provided.
3. Mother's Day- Web Search Word Search
Try something new this Mother's Day with a web search word search! Students use the provided web site to help them complete fill in the blank questions about Mother's Day. They then find the answers in the puzzle (providing them a way to check their work).
An answer key is provided for your convenience.
4.Design a Mother's Day Award
I hope your students will enjoy designing their own awards for Mother’s Day.
On each award, students can write about what makes their mom, grandma, aunt, etc. special, and then add color and decoration. Four different award choices are included for mom (or anyone), plus an extra for an aunt and grandma.
It is also a great idea to laminate these before sending them home so that they will be durable and treasured keepsakes for years to come.
