Looking for a neat and tidy, yet thoughtfully written (by your students!) Mother's Day Card? This page will fit inside a folded 9 x 12 piece of construction paper card. Decorate the outside of the card any way you like, then have students glue this page on the inside. As a card insert, it provides space for both drawing and writing, and gives your students ideas for how to show their love for mom and how to tell what they love about her. (Trust me, this is much more fun to read than just the standard - though welcome! - I love you, mom.)
On the left side of the page, they draw (or paste) a picture of "Me and My Mom." On the right side, they fill in blanks and finish sentences to tell why they love mom and what makes her special. Some of the sentences they complete are as follows: She is the _____ mom I know. She always _____ when I _____________, and she __________ when _____________. My favorite thing about her is that she _______________. She loves ______, _______, and _______. She doesn't like _______. I will always _____________!
I hope this makes your planning for Mother's Day in the classroom a little easier, and brings a smile to your students' mommies, too!
