Happy Mother's Day! Make Bath Fizzies for Mother's Day! Give Mom or other special people something different for Mother's Day this year. I make these in small batches with groups of students, while other students color the bubbles on the basket. The basket comes with bubbles printed on it and the recipe is printed on the bottom of the basket. I've also included a full page recipe with instructions that can be printed or projected using a document camera. Before students color the bubbles on the basket, I like to blow bubbles and have students observe the colors and how the colors appear in the bubbles. Kids love it! Plus, the basket is a great way for kids to carry home the bath bomb fizzies. If you wish, add some shredded paper or Easter grass to protect the bath bomb fizzies for the ride home. I just shredded some tissue paper through the paper shredder.
Included are 8 versions of the same basket:
The yield of the recipe depends on the size of the mould you use. A mould that holds about 1/4 cup should yield 12 bath bombs per recipe.
To keep things affordable buy baking soda and a light oil at the dollar store.
Citric acid can be found in health food stores, grocery stores or online. I bought mine here: Citric Acid on Amazon.ca
