Searching for a quick and easy mother's day craft? Just add a packet of seeds to this watering can craftivity show mom how much she is appreciated and loved for Mother's Day! A pocket at the front of the card holds a seed packet (not included). Easy to make, includes template options with the word 'mom' and an EDITABLE page for you to type the names of other caregivers and significant adults in student lives. Or print out a blank template for students to write the name of their own caregiver and loved one!

  • Step-by-step directions with photographs that can be printed out for a center, or projected onto a whiteboard - a great opportunity to develop listening skills and following directions
  • all templates and instructions for running on construction paper. Templates could also be copied onto cardstock and traced around if needed.

Watering can template comes with two optional messages:

  • Without you Mom, I could not blossom
  • Without you I could not blossom (the space where the word 'mom' was is left blank for you to type directly into with a caregiver name, or students to write in the name of their own special caretaker/guardian)

Suggestions for use:

  • Make as a mother's day card, and write a message on the back. Send home on Mother's Day
  • Leave as a center activity, along with the craft templates and directions and let students decorate their watering can as they see fit
  • Make for your volunteers and parent helpers at the end of the year
  • Make for grandparents day
  • Make in early April and display on a bulletin board with the title 'April Showers Bring May Flowers!" (see the preview of the display we made) Please note, the heading letters DO NOT come with this craft.

You will need one seed pack per student. I got 22 packs for $9.99 on Amazon - February was a great time for deals! Dollar stores are also a great place to look!

Small hands may need assistance cutting some parts.
