We're Very Good Friends, My Mother and I by P. K. Hallinan is such an adorable book about a child's love for his mother. It's a perfect story for Mother's Day
This Reader's Theater has parts for three readers. Headbands/necklaces are included. Simply copy onto cardstock. To make a necklace, simply hole-punch and lace with yarn. To make a headband, staple onto a long strip of construction paper.
I know that some classes have Mother's Day teas. This would be perfect to "read" to your audience of mothers.
Please feel free to change the script in any way that you would like so that it meets the needs of your students.
You do not need the book to do this Reader's Theater. If you would like to read the book but can't find one, there is a video of it on YouTube that you could watch and show the class.
If you like this Reader's Theater, I have three others for Mother's Day. They are:
A Mother for Choco
The Night Before Mother's Day
What Not To Give Your Mom on Mother's Day
On Mother's Lap
