Motivating Students to Read {All Year}

Motivating kids to read can be a tricky task. I found these 2 items have really helped my kiddos read throughout the year: Monthly Reading Punch Cards and Brag Tags!

Monthly Reading Punch Cards
These punch cards REALLY motivate students. Each Accelerated Reader, or Reading Counts test that they pass 80%-100% they earn a punch. After they earn 20 punches, they get a homework pass!
Simply, print and pass out to your students each month. I usually do a different color card stock for each month.Punch Cards Included
August- June and one for them to keep track of books over the summer!

AR/CR BRAG TAGS
Brag Tags are like little trophies that celebrate student accomplishments! They positively reinforce students in a tangible and powerful way. Brag Tags will spice up your classroom behavior management system by motivating your students to work hard towards their AR goals. They are so simple to incorporate into any behavior management system. Simply print, laminate and hole punch! The students will collect them all year long by stringing the Brag Tags onto a necklace.
AR Tags Included
Every 10 AR/CR points the student earns 10-100 they earn a brag tag. Then there is a brag tag for 150 and 200 A/CR points.
