This is a project-based learning challenge that can be used for students K-college. I have successfully used it for language learning, but it can be easily adapted for most subjects, and for ages k through college. It encourages students to take the knowledge they have learned in class and do individual projects in their own time that will visually chart their individual progress in learning the subject. They will watch themselves climb Mount Everest and learn at the same time. I have students eagerly asking for more personal projects, so they can climb higher. Students from all different levels and classes are participating in our school because it is visual and fun and the each students' level and grade do not matter, as they are only competing against themselves.
