3 Types of Questions for this great early novel:
1. On the Page (Literal, Search and Find)
2. Between the Lines (Inferencing)
3. In Your Head (Personal Response)
I love these types of questions for kids as it gets them thinking in different ways. The literal, "on the page", to "between the lines", and finally the "personal response" is a great way to see the development of students' comprehension.
I am able to assess students using the BC Performance Standard as these questions give me good data for "Strategies", "Comprehension", and "Response & Analysis".
There are 3 rich questions per chapter. There is a PDF and an editable Word document.
These can be used for whole class novel study, independent novel study (for a student who may need enrichment), or for Literature Circles.
