It is fun to have students play around and explore colors. One of my favorite ways to have students do this is with the book, Mouse Paint, by Ellen Stoll Wash. You don’t really need to have the book for this activity, but it is a nice way to be able for students to make the connection between what has been read and what they experience.
The set includes a scripted page in which the teacher reads and then has the students do the painting activity. A Mouse Paint Colors page is included for the activity portion. The set also includes a My Mouse Paint Reader .
