In this activity the students will create a mousetrap-powered car. The car will use the spring in the mousetrap to pull a wheel and push the car forward. The students can build the car to travel fast (quick acceleration) OR to travel a great distance – you decide!
The students will follow a step-by-step outline to create and design the car. The students will answer questions in the work booklet and will also create a speed-time graph and distance-time graph to record the progress of the car.
