Are your students struggling transitioning from 9 to the next ten? This game is perfect for them, if so!
I used adhesive square pockets to put these number cards into, then used painters tap to put the numbers onto the ground to allow my students to move from one number to the next. But you could obviously just laminate the number cards for durability.
Start by putting the number cards into two lines; 1-9 then 10-100 (or 120 whichever you need). Students will start at 1 and then count to 9, then they will put their manipulative on 10 and continue counting. They will then continue counting through the numbers moving their manipulative each time they make it to the next ten. You could also call out a given "ten" have them place the manipulative on that ten and then count on. This is a great way to allow your students to get moving and for them to understand where they are going next.
We use a little ball of clay to mark which “ten” we are on, but you can use whatever you wish! Enjoy!
