This packet contains three hands-on activities to promote greater understanding of how different celestial bodies move in space. All activities are constructed with basic classroom supplies and require only 1 or 2 class periods to create. Students will learn about how the Sun, Earth, and Moon move in relation to each other, as well as how the positioning of the Earth and the sun creates our seasons. Finally the students will discover how man has been observing our heavenly bodies for centuries by creating a constellation telescope. Includes detailed lesson instructions, bibliography, and instructor's personal notes.
