This movie guide focuses on Oceania Societies which include the Polynesians, the Maori and the early Hawaiians.
The most work that a teacher needs to do to make this a fantastic lesson on Oceanic Societies is to access the YouTube link and to print the handouts. The first handout includes 30 questions to be filled out during or after viewing the documentary. The second handout is to be done after watching the documentary and has students writing a thematic essay. I grade this essay as one test grade.
Save money and get more content by buying the Oceania Societies Lesson Pack
which includes a lesson plan, PowerPoint and DBQ.
I have done this lesson for five years now, and it has proven to be worth the effort every year for my students.
