Much like my Vocabulary Elves game, this activity targets synonyms antonyms, and multiple meaning words. It also includes and activity for describing.
*Synonyms: have students read the sentence and name a synonym for the underlined word
*Antonyms: using the same vocabulary as the synonyms, have students complete the sentence by naming an antonym of the underlined word
*Multiple meaning words: have students name 2 definitions for the words listed
*Describing: start by sorting all the adjective cards into synonym piles. Students can then pick a movie card and describe the movie using the adjectives they feel apply. They can also come up with their own adjectives or movies. Then have students write about their descriptions using the worksheet.
**Movies listed are based off of what my students are familiar with. Some are better suited for older students while others are better for younger ones. Use your best judgement :)
