Print and go! Four R-E-A-D worksheets divide Mr. Popper's Penguins
into Chapters 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, and 16-20. Each worksheet presents 16 items, each with a single grammatical error which students must identify and correct. All items are original and derive from the story.
Among the 64 Daily Language Review items, students will be reviewing homophones, possessive noun forms, parallelism, verb tense, adjective or relative clauses, coordinating and subordinating conjunctions, commas, articles, punctuation, spelling and more. Have students correct one sentence in each column, or photocopy the lined-only R-E-A-D page on the back and ask them to complete all 16.
Pair this award-winning novel with a science unit on animal life in the Antarctic.
