Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree Sequencing Activity

This activity is a great way to introduce sequencing to your students. After reading the story to your class, your students will work on their fine motor skills by cutting and pasting the characters in order of their appearance in the story.

It is very important to me that when students cut and paste, they know that if they make a mistake, it is important to make the choice to problem solve instead of seeing their mistake as the trigger to shut down. In my directions, there is a subtle reminder to students that mistakes are no big deal and incorporate the teacher to help coach problem solving skills.
