“Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash: A Book Companion for Speech and Language” is the perfect silly treat for you and your kiddos! In “Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash” by Sarah Weeks, Mrs. McNosh hangs everything she can find out on the line to dry. You and your students will laugh at all of the silly things she hangs out to dry!
When you purchase “Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash: A Book Companion for Speech and Language” you will receive both a full color version and a black and white version. You decide which one you would rather use.
The following is included in “Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash: A Book Companion for Speech and Language”
-Vocabulary Cards: You get 23 Tier 1 vocabulary cards (Cut out the cards and use them to teach vocabulary; allow your students to label or define the words/pictures.) and 3 Tier 2 vocabulary cards (3 cards include definition and 3 cards include blanks to allow students to write the definition).
-What Does Not Belong: You get 15 “What Does Not Belong” strips (field of 3). Allow your students to decide which picture does not belong and explain why.
-Same and Different: You get 20 same and different cards. Allow your students to determine which picture is different from the others within a field of 3.
-Category Sorting: You get 4 sorting mats (things you wear/things you don’t wear and living/nonliving) and 20 cards to sort for each set of mats. Cut out the picture cards and allow your students to sort the cards into the correct laundry basket.
-Category Naming: You get 12 “Category Naming” cards, each with pictures in a field of 3. Allow your students to label each of the categories represented on the cards.
-Regular Plural Nouns: You get 12 singular and plural noun cards. Allow your students to complete the sentence with the appropriate plural noun.
-Descriptions/Attributes: You get 10 graphic organizers including a picture for your students to describe. Allow your students to describe the picture on each page using the graphic organizer provided.
-Compare/Contrast: You get 5 compare and contrast graphic organizers including the picture described in the “Descriptions/Attributes” section. Allow your students to compare and contrast the graphics/objects.
-Laundry Match Up: You receive matching cards containing initial, medal and final "SH". Each position contains 10 words/matches, totaling 20 cards for each position. Allow your students to play a "memory" type game with the target words.
