These pages will help adults guide children as they read together the picture book Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle’s Won’t-Take-a-Bath Cure. This lovely picture book teaches children about personal responsibility. One morning, young Patsy Brown screams that she hates baths and won’t ever take another one again. To help Patsy discover for herself the consequences of never bathing, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle prescribes “The Radish Cure.” Patsy’s parents are very patient as they wait for Patsy to reach that low point when she changes her mind and chooses good personal hygiene over filth. Of course, they do give her a little wise parental encouragement. I bought this book for 50 cents at a library sale. I was dismayed to see that it costs $33.00 on line! So, if you see this lovely tale somewhere for a modest sum, snatch it up!
