This is a lesson on the effects of irony like suspense and humor. You could modify this for any text, however, it goes well with "Much Ado About Nothing" or "Romeo and Juliet." Feel free to add or delete items or slides in this presentation.
I first address the sub-objectives and model how to answer in an explanatory paragraph with textual evidence. I provide students with a checklist and rubric. There is also a prompt at the end for an assessment.
