In this highly engaging project, students work individually or in groups to create a Muckraker Magazine that focuses on one of the reformers of the Progressive Era / Gilded Age! Jane Addams, Lincoln Steffens, Upton Sinclair, Jacob Riis, Ida Wells, Ida Tarbell, Lewis Hine, and Alice Paul are available options for students to investigate!
This research project is structure like a web quest (and sheet of links are included to guide student research) however you can certainly supplement with your own resources! Students must collaborate with each other to compile a magazine on their reformer / muckraker, much like modern newspapers are produced! Political cartoons, feature article, advertisements, and much more must be included!
Too, this is entirely editable to tweak your individual needs!
