This emergent reader little book will help young students practice early reading skills, while reading about a fun subject: muffins in honor of Mothers' Day!! It would be great to use for browsing boxes, independent reading, guided reading groups, or Read to Self.
On each page, the color of the muffin changes, as students practice reading color words :)
The text throughout the book follows this pattern:
Mom likes to eat muffins.
Here is a (color word) muffin for her.
The color word on each page is in bold text to help students identify the color word. There is also a chart with the color words in the appropriate color; this can be printed in color and used as a resource for students who need a little extra support. There is also a blank page included, if you would like for students to be able to create their own page in the story.
The following color words are included in this book: red, blue, yellow, green, purple, orange, black, white, brown, and pink.
This book includes the same text on both the top and bottom of each sheet of paper to make copying, sorting, stapling, and cutting easy to create a class set of little books!!
