Muggie Maggie is such a classic! I especially love reading it with my third graders, because they learn to write in cursive. I have never had a year that did not involve one child staging a cursive revolt. I can't say that I sent the refuser all over the building with handwritten notes, but I do understand Maggie's stubbornness and Mrs. Leeper's need for a little creativity! This novel study includes:
chapter questions (inference questions as well as fact-based questions)
a persuasive writing piece
a descriptive writing piece
a creative writing piece
many pages of suggestions for productive classroom close reading sessions and discussions
Please feel free to message me with questions! I am constantly posting new novel studies and task card sets as well as writing packets and assessments, so don't forget to follow me! Thanks for stopping by!
