In this fun partner activity, students get a chance to work independently and then pair up with a classmate to check for accuracy. There are two different worksheets, each with 10 multi-digit multiplication problems. The problems are different on each worksheet, but the answers are the same (answer 1 on worksheet 1 is the same as answer 1 on worksheet 2). So, not only do the students get to practice their multi-digit multiplication skills, but they use critical thinking to find their mistakes if they don't get the same answers as their partner. Because this is a self-correcting activity, there is less grading to be done by the teacher, but an answer key is included for convenience. This can even be used as homework with the partner portion being done the next day in class. It makes a great incentive to get homework done because if students aren't done, they don't get to participate in the partner portion!
