Not all children come equipped with equal abilities.
Many times, educators have students in their classrooms with skill levels that can vary two or even more grade levels. In family child care settings, or afterschool programs children may be several years apart but exploring the same topic.
Careful planning can allow you to outline scaffolded instruction and layer objectives and competencies.
This planner allows you to break down a center topic with objectives, materials, and activities on three levels:
• Target Group
• Simplified Group
• Scaffolded / Challenge Group
Two sample planners are filled out to cover sorting (toddler / preK age group) and constellations (K-4th).
