This is a great, easy collaborative activity for an Algebra or Pre-Algebra class! It involves collaboration, encourages showing work, and incorporates error analysis.
This is a collaborative exercise where students will get the chance to get up and move around the classroom. They must "tag" seven classmates. Each time they "tag" a classmate, they will trade papers and solve the problem of their choice on their classmate's worksheet. They need to show their work and record their name and their final answer. When the students are done "tagging", all student return to their seats and are given 5-10 minutes to conduct an error analysis on their page. They should carefully review their classmates' work, correct any mistakes, and record THEIR final answer in the space provided!
I hope your students enjoy it as much as mine do!
