Students will practice solving multi-step equations, including those with distribution and variables on both sides. Students are paired up and assigned half of the board. They roll two dice to see which problems they are solving. For example, if they roll a 1 and a 6, then Partner A does (6,1) and Partner B does (1, 6) on the board. Both students should get the same answer. If not, they trade papers to see if they can identify the mistake.
I had them highlight the problems as they went so they knew which ones they had already done. They really enjoyed it because it was different.
